Trail Care Days this Friday and Sunday, Aug 7th & 9th.
Finishing work is needed on the newly cut sections of trail and other odd jobs.
What to bring:
Water, safety glasses, closed toe shoes, (preferably) long pants, work gloves, any tools you like to use (especially loppers and small cutting tools like handsaws etc), a signed waiver. Please no children under 13 or dogs, it can be a dangerous activity for those that aren’t aware of swinging shovels etc.
Where to go:
just walk or ride up the white fence trail and follow it to big tree, then follow the small fire road until it meets up with the existing new trail, you should be heading toward the peaks of Olomana, with the new development on your right side. Keep heading up the trail until you run into a work crew or all the way to the new section that will be marked with a yellow sign. If you are unfamiliar with the white fence trail, it is right at the junction of Old Kalanianaole Hwy, and the Current Kalanianaole Hwy on the Waimanalo side. You can call me (Leland) at 808-224-6745 if you need more instructions or help.
